This DuroMax generator has an 8.3-gallon fuel tank. Yeah, I know that’s big. 😅
Efficiency and Fuel Type
The efficiency of a portable generator depends on many factors. But, a simple definition will be that an efficient generator has better runtime hours & power output for a given amount of fuel.
An efficient generator has a longer life, less fuel consumption, and maximum power output. It will save you more bucks in the long run.
The DuroMax XP10000E can run up to 10.4 hours on a single tank of gasoline at half load. It has a runtime of 8 hours at full load.
Portable generators with dual-fuel technology are compatible with two fuel options i.e. gasoline and propane. An alternate fuel option comes in handy when either of the fuel supply gets disrupted.
Also, propane burns cleaner and is cheaper.
This DuroMax generator does not have dual-fuel capability. It runs only on gasoline.

I have seen many individuals taking safety with portable generators carelessly. But, proper safety measures should be in place when operating portable generators.
Generator manufacturers implement many features to increase users’ safety. You can eliminate any possible risk by taking a few safety measures at your end.
Portable generators produce harmful gasses and particles while running. One such gas is Carbon Monoxide (CO) which gets produced when the air supply is scarce.
CO is a poisonous gas and accounts for hundreds of deaths every year. It is also called a silent killer. 🔪
EPA and CARB regulate generator emission standards. EPA is Environmental Protection Agency and CARB is California Air Resource Board.

This generator has a power panel with alert indicators, circuit breaker, volt-meter, etc. It comes with a wide range of outlets for maximum support.
It has two 120V household GFCI outlets, one 120V 30A twist-lock socket, one 240V 30A outlet, and one 240V 50A outlet. 50-Amp Heavy-Duty outlets can power high amperage power tools.
